Lake Patrol
Dick has been receiving reports from the boat patrol with detail. The patrol will be stopping boats for safety checks as well as infractions. There is a note that many of the jet ski’s may be over the rated horse power allowed on Rogers Lake. Dick will be happy to report incidents to DEEP with the proper documentation. There was a ranger on the patrol boat on July 4th.
Weeds
Dennis has not heard from Colin at Solitude on the date for the post treatment survey.
There have been reports of water plants washing up on shore.
There is no update on the weed matts.
Budget
Nothing new to report.
Old Business
There is a lot of rowing on the lake.
New Business
RLA has purchased an action camera for use in recording incidents on the lake. The device takes photos, videos, and voice recordings.
Dennis received the post well water testing results, there was no trace of the herbicide, flumioxazin, found in either of the wells tested.
Fishing tournaments are shifting to evenings for the end of July and beginning of August.
There has been a report of kids spending time at Haynes park contracting staph infections. The park and rec does test the swim areas for bacteria and the RLA has not received results yet for this season.
There is a random metal dock at the mouth of the boat launch, that appears to be a hazard. There is also a tree down in the area, RLA will look into resolving both of the issues.
Motion to adjourn was made by Tom and Dick second, motion passed by unanimous vote. The meeting ended at 8:25 PM.
Respectfully submitted,
The next meeting of the Rogers Lake Association will be on August 9th at 8:12PM at the Rogers Lake
